Welcome Alice - our new General Manager at Home Farm Glamping

Welcome Alice, our new General Manager at Home Farm Glamping!

Here’s why we’re in love with her already...

If you’ve visited Home Farm before, you’ll remember our small and friendly glamping team.

We get lots of feedback about the difference they make, especially from guests glamping for the very first time. Having a helping hand makes the transition from ‘town to country’ a whole lot easier for our hard-working glampers, all looking to unwind and reconnect with the countryside on London’s doorstep.

We know Alice, our new full-time General Manager, will be no exception!

Make yourself at home whilst glamping at Home Farm

We want you to feel more than welcome at Home Farm, so think it’s important you can get to know our dedicated team - your hosts. And, seeing as we’ve just celebrated Valentine’s Day, what better time to share the love for our latest nature-loving recruit and why you’re in good hands this season!

Dedicated hosts who love what they do

Alice: A childhood surrounded by nature

Alice: A childhood surrounded by nature

When self-confessed ‘country bumpkin at heart’, Alice, shared her journey from a chocolate-box village in West Sussex, to running a boutique collection of villas on the palm-fringed south coast of Sri Lanka - our ears pricked up!

Despite having to interview via Zoom (during the pandemic), her passion and excitement for all things outdoorsy shone through. The childhood rooted in nature, a life spent travelling to far-flung places to explore the world's best-kept secrets, and her experience leading a leisure destination team - well that tipped it for us.

Coming home to the Great British Countryside

It’s fair to say that for HFG the greatest blessing to come from lockdown was that Alice returned to the UK. Like many, she discovered a newfound appreciation for the Great British countryside, including the important role it plays in our mental health and wellbeing and its ability simplify our fast-paced lives and to evoke precious childhood memories of carefree times.

Having also worked in the sales & marketing teams for tourism boards in the USA, the Indian Ocean and the South Pacific, we believe Alice will be a real advocate for Home Farm Glamping, as let’s face it, we’re still pretty much London’s best-kept glamping secret!

If you have any questions about Home Farm, whether it’s glamping stays, group bookings, weddings or corporate events, Alice is your woman.
