We firmly believe that food is the most important part of any visit
For some of our guests, what puts the ‘glam’ into glamping is our gourmet dining options; for others, it’s staying true to a night under canvas with a good ol’ fashion BBQ. Here are your catering options for your next stay at Home Farm Glamping…
SELF-CATERING
Gourmet Grilling & Wild Dining
All of our 12 glamping tents come with a Weber Kettle BBQ, one nights supply of charcoal and cooking utensils can be found in the barn. Your welcome hamper contains plates, cups, cutlery and dining essentials.
There are communal fridges and freezers in the barn and we can provide cool boxes and ice packs for your tents, if required. We have a fully-stocked washing up station and there are some carefully tended herbs growing nearby, to make you feel as Jamie Oliver as you like!
You can bring food and drink with you, or to make things even easier, you can arrange for an online shop to be delivered to the site. Please just remember to let us know if you have arranged delivery before you arrive so that if possible we can arrange for someone to be there to receive your delivery and put it away for you.
OVERNIGHT-OATS
New to the site in 2024, we’re delighted to stock Earthy Overnight Oats in three delicious flavours: Matcha & Macadamia; Cacao, Goji & Fig and Toasted Black Sesame.
Simply purchase your sachet of oats and an optional Earthy jam jar (which will help to measure the perfect amount of milk to oat ratio) from the Extras menu when booking your tent, or email the glamping team to add to your booking retrospectively.
Your sachet (and jar) will be waiting in your tent on arrival, all you’ll need to do is mix your oats in the barn before bed, store in one of our fridges and wake up to a healthy, nutritious breakfast before you check out.
GROUP DINING: BREAKFASTS & BANQUETS
Gregory’s Kitchen is a passionate caterer based in Oxhey Village, a stone’s throw from us in Elstree, delivering the best in quality and innovative cooking for busy foodies staying onsite.
For groups of friends and family looking to a have a lovely meal prepared during their stay, Gregory’s Kitchen can serve everything from sumptuous street food to gourmet grazing tables to enjoy in our tipi marquee, by your tents or serve under our oak tree.
GOURMET BBQ BOXES
Wanting to take a break from cooking?
All you have to do is sizzle and serve.
Our scrummy BBQ boxes are lovingly prepared by Gregory’s Kitchen, using quality meats from a fantastic local butcher with delicious fresh and crunchy salads. All you have to do is cook your meat on the BBQ and plate up your accompanying salads and sides.
BBQ boxes are available every Friday (after 15.00), Saturday and Sunday throughout the season and must be ordered one week in advance of your stay using the link below.
THE AERODROME CAFE
If you wake up and fancy a fry up, we recommend walking 10 minutes down the lane (or jumping in the car for two mins) to The Aerodrome Café.
Enjoy watching the light aircrafts and helicopters take off and come into land while enjoying breakfast, lunch and afternoon teas. Sunday Roasts are also on offer - perfect for weekend glampers checking out from the site before heading home. If you would like to eat at the café, please book a table by calling 02031544383.

PUB WALKS AND TAKE AWAYS
Our favourite local haunt is The Three Horseshoes, a gastro pub in the neighbouring village of Letchmore Heath. It’s possible to walk cross country or along the road, or is a 7 minute drive from the glamping meadow. We couldn’t recommend this place more highly!
There are a few good pubs within walking distance of the site: The Waggon & Horses is the closest, 5 minutes drive or 30 minutes on foot, with good food, a big beer garden and an open fire inside if the weather is less than perfect. There is also The Battle Axes, part of the Chef and Brewer group, so serve food throughout the day and also has a nice garden, only a 15 minutes walk along Aldenham Road.
You can also arrange for takeaways to deliver to the site - we’ve had guests eating pizzas, tacos and Mcdonald’s by their tents before! Our address to hand over is Home Farm Glamping, Aldenham Road, WD6 3AZ.
